Parkland Buddy Sports, Inc is a not for profit organization that offers well-structured sports programs for special needs children and young adults. Regardless of the mental and/or physical diagnosis, the Buddy program welcomes children ages 4 to young adult. The sports programs consist of once weekly (Saturday or Sunday) activities and games. Each player is paired for the entire season with their own “Buddy” who in most instances is a typical student volunteer for an entire season. Through the shared encouragement of all the Buddies, our special needs players and their families are able to experience the joys of their athletic endeavors.

Our volunteers, both students and adults, learn patience, tolerance and the ability of one person to change the life of another. They also learn that by creating an environment void of physical, social and cultural barriers there are "NO LIMITS". All student volunteers receive community service hours for their participation.

The success of the Parkland Buddy Sports programs is entirely due to the team effort and dedication of our board of director’s coaches and volunteers. One of the truly remarkable aspects of our programs is not just the positive feedback from the families of our players, which has been amazing, but also the heartfelt reaction from our student and adult volunteers and their families. Our players live for that one hour each week when they come out for game day. There are no words to describe how you feel when you see the smiles and hear the laughter of our players, volunteers and families.

Parkland Buddy Sports provides sponsorship and donation opportunities for individuals and businesses. 100% of all funds raised by sponsorships and donations are allocated to the programs to purchase equipment, uniforms and trophies and to fund program-end celebrations. Neither the staff nor board members receive any compensation for the valued time and effort they contribute.
